That's me in an Icelandic "traffic jam" waiting on a herd of wild horses to mosey across the road.
I am excited to be a Ranger at Vista Ridge. This year will be my 19th year in education and 17th year of teaching high school math. I hope I can successfully contribute to the wonderful VRHS math department by drawing upon my diverse professional experiences. I started my career in New York City where I also obtained my Masters degree at night school. After leaving New York City and coming to Central Texas to rejoin much of my family, I worked for the University of Texas at Austin, School of Education. I then taught at a very rigorous public high school in the Austin area and also co-sponsored its 200+ member Student Council.
While I am very excited about teaching and working with our students, nothing makes me happier than spending time with my son, Anders, who is 11. We love playing outside, hanging out with friends, and watching anything about super-heroes.
I believe in the importance of a healthy work-life balance for not only myself but also for our students and will always work with students and families.
