What: LISD librarians utilize the inter-library (ILL) system to procure additional copies of books for students or resources LMS may not have.

Why: Different libraries have different materials. The ILL system is a way for librarians to "share the wealth" with all LISD students!

How: Parents/guardians must now opt IN if they WANT their students to have access to higher grade level books.

Possible Action Item For PARENTS:

If you have an LMS student that reads above grade level and wants to have access to high school materials, you may fill out this form to grant permission. This will speed up the wait time when your student wants to check out books from high school libraries in the future. Parents need only fill out the form once - that will grant your student access for the entire school year (if you signed up last year, you'll need to sign up again for this year).
