Membership

To be inducted into The National Technical Honor Society, students are required to meet strict criteria. Students must:

• Complete Membership Application with a CTE(Career & Technical Education) Instructor Signature

• Overall GPA of 3.0 on an unweighted 4.0 scale

• GPA of 3.0 in all CTE (Career & Technical Education) courses

• Member of a CTE(Career & Technical Education) student organization (Ex: HOSA, FFA, DECA, etc.)

• Be enrolled in a coherent sequence of CTE courses (most students are enrolled in this due to endorsements)

  • Example of Coherent sequence: 9th- Professional Communications 10th- Principles of Health Science 11th- Health Science Theory 12th- HST 2

1) Once inducted, members are required to maintain the above criteria in addition to:

1) Participate in National Technical Honor Society events. (community service, fundraising, or service learning projects.)

2) Attend monthly meetings. A schedule of dates will be given to all new members.

*Members can be dropped from the National Technical Honor Society if a GPA of 3.0 or higher is not maintained.

Membership Dues for the Leander Chapter cost $39 for new members, $5.70 for returning members. You can pay your dues using the Leander High School Online Webstore.

Application Deadline is October 30, 2020 at 4pm. Please turn in your signed application to an advisor. Induction Ceremony will be held virtually this school year.
