Hello! My name is Joe Lemmons. I am a proud Sam Houston State University Bearkat, husband, uncle, Ag teacher, and FFA advisor. This is year 22 as an Ag Science Teacher and FFA advisor.
My schedule can be found below with my contact info. My FFA responsibilities include supervising the cattle and pig projects at our ag facility, coaching multiple leadership development and career development teams, as well as developing public speakers, and supervising our student leaders.
My teaching responsibilities combined with my FFA advisor role keep me busy. I spend a lot of time managing our Ag Project Center which includes the maintenance of the trailers, pens and equipment we use there. If you ever need to contact me, email is the best method as I am not always available at my extension. If you do need to call, please do so during my conference period.
I am looking forward to another great year!

Note to Parents:
Parents and Guardians,
We utilize Google classrooms for my classes. My students will join these classes during the first or second week of school. Assignments can be found on the GC when we are working in the class as well as the ag shop. As a parent/guardian, you can be invited to join our Google Classroom in order to receive important classroom information. All you need to do is share your preferred email address with your student so it can be passed along to me OR email me directly. Then, you will receive an invitation to join our Google Classroom.
If you have previously subscribed to receive parent/guardian email summaries (from a former Google classroom teacher), you should be automatically subscribed to receive summaries. You can verify this information with your student and/or myself.
What does this mean exactly? When parents/guardians join a student’s Google Classroom, they receive regular, automatic email summaries. Parents/Guardians choose the frequency of the emails—daily or weekly—and can unsubscribe at any time. Note: Daily means Monday to Friday. You won't receive email summaries on Saturdays or Sundays.
The Google Guardian Email Summaries include:
Missing work—Work not turned in when the summary was sent.
Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails).
Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers.
Guardians who sign up for email summaries can’t see the Stream, Classwork, People, or Grades pages in Google Classroom.
