About Coach Parton

I grew up in the small town of Paducah, Texas, where basketball is a way of life. If you know Texas high school basketball, then you know the tradition and pride that comes with Paducah. During my time there, I was fortunate to win a state championship in basketball and a state championship in track. Those experiences helped shape my passion for competition, teamwork, and building a winning culture.

After graduating from high school, I attended Tarleton State University knowing I wanted to become a teacher and coach. Following graduation, I began my coaching career in Munday before moving to Georgetown ISD, where I coached at Tippit Middle School, Wagner Middle School, and East View High School. Most recently, I served as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Florence High School, where we helped grow the girls basketball program from just 11 athletes to more than 30 while building a culture centered on hard work, accountability, and relationships.

I am incredibly excited to be the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Leander High School. As the original high school in the district, Leander has a rich tradition and deserves to be recognized as one of the premier girls basketball programs in Texas. My goal is to help build a championship-caliber program that our players, families, alumni, and community can be proud of for years to come.

When I'm not in the gym or the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Hannah, and our daughter, Goldie. I feel truly blessed to be part of the Leander family and am honored to lead the Lady Lions Basketball program. I can't wait to get to work and build something special together.

Hi, I’m Coach Bailey! I recently graduated from Texas State University with a major in Family and Consumer Sciences and a minor in Education. I’m so excited to begin this next chapter and have the opportunity to combine two things I’m passionate about: education and basketball!

Basketball has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I played basketball at Vista Ridge all four years of high school, and I’ve been playing the game my entire life. The sport has taught me so much—not only about hard work, dedication, and teamwork, but also about perseverance, leadership, and believing in yourself. Basketball has always been more than just a sport to me; it has been a passion and a huge part of who I am.

I’m incredibly excited to finally have the opportunity to share that passion with my players and help them grow both on and off the court. My goal as a coach is to create a positive, encouraging, and competitive environment where my players can challenge themselves, build confidence, support one another, and have fun while doing what they love.

I’m especially excited to be coaching the Lady Lions this year! This program has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve been around the program ever since my dad started coaching, so being able to officially be a part of the team now is something that means a lot to me. Over the past three years, I’ve also had the opportunity to coach the fall ball team, which has allowed me to build relationships with players, gain valuable coaching experience, and become even more excited about continuing to grow as a coach.

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this program and cannot wait to see what this season brings. I’m ready to work, learn, compete, and most importantly, make memories with the Lady Lions. I’m so excited to officially be part of the team and can’t wait for an amazing season!

About Coach King: 

I am excited to begin my third season with the Leander Lady Lions basketball program!  This will be my 17th year in education and coaching, including my 15th year at Leander High School. I grew up in Arlington, Texas, where I attended Arlington Martin High School and competed in basketball, football, and baseball. I earned my bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Permian Basin. Along with coaching the Lady Lions, I currently serve as a coordinator for our football program and have previously coached varsity boys basketball and baseball at Leander High School. In the classroom, I teach AP Macroeconomics and enjoy helping students challenge themselves academically while preparing them for success beyond high school.

Leander High School has become home for my family. My wife, Kaylee, is also a teacher at LHS, and our daughter, Kaylyn, is a Leander graduate and former member of the Lady Lions basketball program. Having watched firsthand what this program means to its student-athletes, I am honored to help continue its tradition. I look forward to another season of working with our players, helping them grow as athletes, teammates, leaders, and young women, and representing Leander High School with pride.
