Hello and welcome to my webpage for the 2026-2027 school year.  This will be my 16th year here at Vista Ridge High School, and my 24th year in education.  I want you to know that I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your child's life here at VRHS.  It is amazing how fast time flies!  It's pretty amazing to think that I am at point where not only I have taught entire families (sans the parents), but I am even coworkers with some of my ex-students.  Coming from a long line of educators, I can honestly say that I look forward to each new day as a chance to make a difference in my students' lives.  With my twins, Cash and Kai, going into the 12th grade (Whoop! Whoop!) here at Vista Ridge this year, I know more than ever how important my job as an educator and the role I play in your child's life is.  I take that responsibility very seriously, and I want you to know that I understand that those young adults that walk through my classroom door are your angels, as well.  I want my impact on their lives to be a positive and supportive one. I am extremely excited to be working with your children this year.  I have tried to include information on this website that I would find helpful as a parent or a student, and to make this information as straight forward as possible.  I cannot emphasize enough that everything your student will need will be communicated through their Google Classroom.  Everything!  From Announcements to Assignments, Links and Due Dates, they will all be found in the Google Classroom, so I encourage your student to utilize that resource to the fullest extent possible.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at julie.brown@leanderisd.org.  It's going to be a wonderful year!  Seniors 2027!!
