Middle School Transition:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We have enthusiastic 5th graders excitedly anticipating their transition to middle school. This change can bring up a variety of emotions for both parents and students. Our 5th graders are zoned for either Leander Middle School (LMS) or Danielson Middle School (DMS).
This page will provide you with important information about your child's transition to 6th grade and the related process. I will include relevant dates and links to the middle school websites for your reference.

5th grade Middle School Visit
5th grade Middle School Visit
All of our Hisle 5th-grade students will visit their zoned Middle School campus the morning of Thursday, January 22, 2026.
If your child is zoned for Danielson Middle School, they will visit that campus. If your child is zoned for Leander Middle School, they will visit that campus.
The middle school campuses will provide transportation for our 5th-graders and their teachers for the visit, which is during school hours.
They will also have an opportunity to eat lunch in their perspective middle school cafeteria. Students may use their accounts to purchase lunch, bring money to purchase lunch or bring their own lunch.

Danielson Middle School:
Parent Night is on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 6:00pm-6:30pm with informational booths from 6:30-7:00pm.
Leander Middle School:
Parent night is Monday, February 2, 2026 beginning at 5:30pm-6:30pm.
