Lochie Hosch

Agriculture is my passion that has been instilled in me from birth. I grew up in a relatively small town called Big Spring in the plains of west Texas, where my family valued hard work, honesty, and integrity. While my home address was in town due to my parents working for the state hospital and the federal prison system, I really was raised on my grandparents farm. I spent every available moment in the fields, out on the ranch, and in the orchard. We raised livestock, farmed cotton, sorghum, & wheat, as well as grew pecans. We put diversified agriculture to work on an everyday basis. I graduated from Big Spring HS in '99 and loved every moment of my FFA career. I put my self through college on agriculture/livestock related scholarship and started college at Howard JR. College and obtained my Associates of Science Degree. Then transferred to Tarleton State University where I graduated with honors with my Bachelors of Science in Agriculture Development with a teaching certificate as well as a minor in Animal Science.

My goal as an educator is to instill values and ethics so that my students are life long learners who are productive citizen in any community and any career/work force. Agriculture affects everything in our life.
