Course Description

“The AP Art History course welcomes students into the global art world as active participants, engaging with its forms and content as they research, discuss, read, and write about art, artists, art making, and responses to and interpretations of art. Content Warning: AP Art History students will be responsible for knowing 250 artworks. Please note that these artworks are predetermined by College Board (creators of the AP exam) and may contain nudity, references to sexual content, violence, and represent creations across time, place, and religion. We will be exploring all of these artworks from an academic and educational standpoint so that students can get a deeper understanding of the history of humanity and Art as well as be successful on the AP exam. Exam Information

AP Art History Exam Date: Thursday, may 15, 2025 8:00aM

Passing the AP Art History exam with a score of 3 or higher will allow students to earn college credit at most universities in the United States. This credit could be useful for many degree plans, regardless of major. If you have specific questions, please contact Ms. Patterson.
