FSMS Clubs and Organizations 2025-2026
Academic UIL: These activities, which exist to complement the academic curriculum, are designed to motivate students as they acquire higher levels of knowledge, to challenge students to confront issues of importance, and to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of specific skills. Areas of focus will be determined at a later date.
Art Club: Students will participate in art projects and/or support our campus with signs and banners for display. Meetings are first 2 Thursdays of each month from 4:30-5:00pm in Rooms 1302/1303.
C2: Help facilitate a culture of kindness on campus and raise awareness to reduce bullying. Meetings are to be determined.
Chess Club: Students will have an opportunity to play chess with and learn from other students. Anyone who is interested in chess is welcome to join. Chess club will meet on Tuesdays from 8:00 - 8:30am in Room 1201.
Comic Club: Students read comics together as well as create and illustrate their own comics. Meetings are Tuesdays from 8:15 - 8:45am in Room 2202.
D&D Club: Students get to create fantasy characters and play/have social interactions with peers. Meeting day and times to be determined.
Destination Imagination: In Destination Imagination (DI), students work together in teams to solve open-ended STEAM challenges designed to teach the creative process. Meetings are Wednesdays from 4:25 - 4:55pm.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA): Students gather for music and fellowship, enjoy a quick game, and hear from guest speakers or student/sponsor-led lessons based on the Bible. Meetings close with prayer before dismissal to class. Meetings are every other Wednesday from 8:35-8:55am in the Lecture Hall.
Geography Club: Students play student made games and activities to enhance geography skills. Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 4:20-5:00pm in Room 2203.
Guitar Club: Students learn and play the guitar. Meetings are Mondays from 4:20 - 5:10pm in Room 1213.
Model United Nations: On-campus debates and activities . Meetings are Mondays from 4:30-5:30pm in Rooms 1214/1215.
NJHS: The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship and helps middle-level students develop the knowledge and skills to become well-rounded student leaders in their school, community, and beyond. Meetings are Wednesdays, 8:15-8:45 or 4:30-5:00 (Once a six weeks). FSMS students apply to become NJHS members in the spring of their 7th grade year.
Spartan Slice Podcast: Students produce, edit and host a student led podcast. Meetings are Tuesdays/Thursdays from 8:15-8:55am. Applications are due Sept. 12.
Speech and Debate Club: Utilizing the curriculum guidance of the LISD middle school Speech & Debate courses, students gather to learn and practice debating skills. Meetings are Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30pm in the Lecture Hall.
Stiles Robotics: Students will participate in one on-campus robotics meeting each week. Membership is limited and based on club tryouts and testing.
Stiles Science Olympiad: Meetings are to prepare for science olympiad competitions and to travel to those competitions. Membership is limited and based on club tryout and testing. Club meets on Mondays from 4:25 - 5:30pm.
Student Council:: Students working together with a faculty advisor to provide a means for student expression and assistance in school affairs and activities, give opportunities for student experience in leadership, and encourage student/faculty/community relations. Activities include meetings, mixers, Trunk-or-Treat, Red Ribbon week, food drive, we want to host a dance or event as a fundraiser, we want to have a fundraiser at the beginning of the year, and other community services as they arise. Meetings are held Thursday mornings before school and on the first Wednesday of each month after school in Room 1206.
*Students do not need to register for clubs to attend, unless a club specifically requires a tryout or test for selection.
