My Visual Art Teaching Philosophy: Young artists benefit from opportunities to explore materials and express their ideas in such media as paint, clay, drawing, collage, digital art, fiber arts, printmaking, and sculpture. Leander ISD Visual Art Mission Statement: The focus of LISD middle school art classes is to create works of art using creative problem solving skills and critical thought, while learning technique, the language of design, and art history.
There are two main goals in Art Class:
- Learn how to use the creative process to create original art.
- Develop skills with a variety of media (art materials) and processes.
