Coach Clonan is a graduate of Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Integrated Science. She is originally from the Greater Houston area and attended Oak Ridge High School. She cheered at Oak Ridge all four years, was captain of both the Varsity Team and the Competition Team her senior year. As captain, she cheered at Disney World for nationals, won countless competitions and was invited to cheer in London, England.
Coach Clonan believes that hard work and dedication is the key to success. Camaraderie and the relationships amongst teammates are fundamental to creating a meaningful and long lasting program.
Coach Clonan is looking forward to watching the team grow into a proud group of athletes that are excited to cheer their teams to victory. We hope to start new traditions, build school spirit and create opportunities for self growth.
Brooklyn Furse is a 2023 graduate of the University of Mississippi where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition with an Emphasis in Health Science. She is originally from San Antonio, and moved to Austin in 2025 to teach at FPMS. This is her first year teaching middle school science. She attended Ronald Reagan High School where she was on the Varsity Tance team for 3 years and served as a captain her senior year. She competed at UDA nationals in Florida for 3 years and received 1st place at the state championship each year. She also danced at Ole Miss all 4 years of college.
Coach Furse currently serves as a staff member for Showmakers of America, was a UDA All-American, and was invited to join UDA/UCA Staff.
Coach Furse believes coaching is about more than skills and performance; it’s about helping young athletes develop discipline, confidence, and character that carry with them long after the season ends.
