The original 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, is a book that was originally published in 1989 by Steven Covey. As a leadership developer, Mr. Covey outlined a principle-centered approach to personal and professional effectiveness for adults. Covey’s book was widely acclaimed for its practical advice and has influenced countless individuals and organizations.
So how does this translate for kids?
Well, Steven Covey's son, Sean, recognized the value of his dad's 7 principles and adapted the concepts for children. The 7 Habits of Happy Kids helps students develop essential life skills such as self-discipline, goal-setting, and effective communication. By practicing these habits, children can improve their personal and academic lives, build better relationships, and approach challenges with a positive and proactive mindset.

Our Counselor, Mrs. Hinojosa and QUEST Teacher, Mrs. Baumann, are passionate about helping our K - 5th grade Panthers become the very best versions of themselves. They are excited to teach them how to take charge of their learning through goal-setting, communication, and self-regulation. Mrs. Baumann has experience on other Leader in Me campuses, and will be sharing all of her expertise with not only students and teachers, but families, as well!
