Why Gmail?
LISD is transitioning to an all cloud Gmail solution. Gmail will allow users to access email from any device in any location. This migration will include moving to Gmail, Contacts, and Calendar, allowing for a better experience for all students and staff.
Timeline
November 18: Level 1 asynchronous trainings will launch for instructional staff.
December 9-10: Synchronous trainings will be available. Please sign up in Strive to register.
Winter Break: All staff will migrate to Gmail with Outlook available as a read-only resource. Staff will be able to check that all emails, calendars, and contacts have migrated to Gmail.
January 4-15: Synchronous trainings will be available at various times.
January 18: Staff will no longer have access to Outlook. (Timeline may change)
