LISD Human Sexuality Curriculum
7th/8th Grade
Leander ISD 7th/8th grade students are about to study important lessons on human sexuality in alignment with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Health Education. On April 27th-May 1st, students will have an opportunity to learn the following lessons from our Human Sexuality Curriculum:
Los estudiantes de 7/8° grado de Leander ISD están a punto de estudiar una lección importante acerca de las etapas tempranas de la pubertad, que incluye los temas de salud reproductiva y sexual, alineados con lo dispuesto por Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Health Education. Del 27 de Abril al 1 de Mayo, los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de aprender las siguientes lecciones de nuestro plan de estudios de sexualidad humana:
Anatomy, Puberty, Reproduction, and Pregnancy - Anatomía, pubertad, reproducción y embarazo
Relationships, Communication, and Boundaries - Relaciones, comunicación y límites
Abuse, Sex Trafficking, and Personal Safety - Abuso, tráfico sexual y seguridad personal
Abstinence and Sexual Health - Abstinencia y salud sexual
Forms must be completed by April 1st to participate.

6th Grade
Leander ISD 6th grade students are about to study an important lesson on the early stages of puberty, including reproductive and sexual health, in alignment with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Health Education. On April 20th- April 24th, Danielson MS students will have an opportunity to learn the following lessons from Choosing the BEST WAY:
Los estudiantes de 6° grado de Leander ISD están a punto de estudiar
una lección importante acerca de las etapas tempranas de la pubertad, que
incluye los temas de salud reproductiva y sexual, alineados con lo dispuesto
por Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Health Education. En la fecha del 20 al 24 de Abril los estudiantes de Danielson Middle School tendrán la oportunidad de aprender las siguientes lecciones de Choosing the BEST WAY:
Texas House Bill 1525 requires that students must opt-in to participate in Human Sexuality Curriculum. Please see below to access the opt-in form.
When will Danielson MS have the opt in students learning for this year?
Danielson’s 7th and 8th Grade lesson dates are April 27th-May 1st
Danielson's 6th Grade Lessons dates are April 20th - April 24th
