The Starting Line

- A Board member will open the stand and set it up for business - a Board member will close up the stand at the end of the game as well

- They will help you get the feel for things so we can have a positive and successful game night and also include the names of the coaches and school administrator present (on a small whiteboard that the Board member can fill in)

- The opening Board member will also be available by phone/text if you run into any problems if they are not physically present

Handling of Funds

- Cash, Credit Cards, GooglePay and ApplePay are accepted. There is a $5 minimum for all non-cash transactions

- Use the iPad for credit cards sales, see Square instructions 101 Guide if you need help

- If the iPad goes to sleep, the code in on the cash box

- No one may handle cash except for parent volunteers and Board members

- Merchandise sales must be taxed and cannot be combined with food transactions

Sell it, ya’ll

- To help folks meet that $5 minimum, feel free to gently encourage them to purchase more instead of walking away from making a purchase at all

- Make yourself familiar with what is being sold, this includes merchandise

- Display items may only be sold if it is the last one

- If you have any downtime, please restock and tidy up

- If hot food, or other food that has to be disposed of after the game, please ask for an announcement to be made to put the item on sale

Freebies

- The following receive one complimentary water: referees and coaches

- Volunteers receive $5 toward concession items each shift.
