What is the Yearbook/Journalism Class?

At CPMS, the award-winning yearbook publication is a painstaking task that the CPMS Press staff completes each year, in just eight months. As historians, we utilize photography, writing, interviewing, and graphic design skills, combined with our take on what is trending at the time of press. We take pride in documenting the year through photos, quotes, stories, and fun. CPMS Press is also partially responsible for the daily news broadcast. Together, we are a family, we are students, we are participants in this history, and we wouldn't have it any other way. HOPEFULLY, field trips will figure back into the mix as we move into the aftertimes. (fingers crossed!)

Here is the description from the district course catalog, but we also learn the tools we will need to go into the communications track at the high school. We have developed a strong relationship with both the publications and the broadcast team at the high school and love being the first step on the road to this amazing career, if not great experience for that college application.
