About
I grew up on St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. I attended Ohio University where I majored in Spanish and French. Upon returning home the USVI, I worked for Business Consulting company in their Marketing, Conventions and Events Division. Eventually I transitioned into Education where I taught in a Title 1 school. I obtained my Masters of Education in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. After moving to Texas I worked in a Spanish Immersion private school before coming to Leander ISD where I taught at Whitestone Elementary as a Dual Language teacher before coming to Henry Middle School to open the MS Dual Language program. During this time, I obtained a Masters in Administration.
I have two fantastic children; Aislin(21) and Christopher(15). We are adventurous and enjoy exploring all that Texas has to offer. We have two horses who we take camping and compete on. We also have chickens, dogs and cats.
If I'm not here at Henry, you can find me on trail, in Austin enjoying music, or exploring small towns. I am looking forward to another year here at HMS with our 6th graders.

About
As a former K-12 LISD student, I am so grateful to work in Leander. I earned my Bachelor's degree at Texas Tech University (Go Red Raiders) and my Master's from Texas State (Go Bobcats). I taught in LISD for 20 years, 19 of them here at Henry. In the spring of 2022, I was excited to join the Admin team and stay a Hawk.
My husband and I have two fabulous kiddos. We also adopted an adorable tabby kitten we named Sylvie. My loves include reading, photography, traveling, scrapbooking, music, coffee, and movies - especially science fiction and fantasy.
I very strongly dislike cooking and waking up early in the morning. So if I look like I need coffee in the morning - you'll know why! :)
I love Henry and am excited to work with 7th grade this year. We have an amazing staff of teachers ready to help you learn.

About
I grew up in the Dallas suburb of Grand Prairie, Texas. After high school, I received a scholarship to play soccer for Auburn University at Montgomery where I majored in Business Administration. Upon graduation, I was given the privilege to be a teacher/coach at Grand Prairie High School for eight years. I then moved to Round Rock, Texas, where I was a teacher/coach at Round Rock High School for two years. After earning my Masters in Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix, I was hired to be an Assistant Principal at Deerpark Middle School in Round Rock ISD in 2013. I am currently in my Eigth year as an Assistant Principal at Henry Middle School, and am so proud to be here.
On a personal note, I grew up with two brothers who along with my parents taught me that family isn’t just the most important thing, but rather it is everything. I currently live in Georgetown, Texas, with my beautiful wife, Malisa, who works for University of Texas High School as a Counselor. I also have two children, ages 26 and 23. JT works for the Wichita Wind Surge in their front office. Parker works in Taylor as a firefighter.
