Brian Selznick is one of my favorite authors:)

I am incredibly excited to serve as the ELA Resource teacher for 7th & 8th grades at Henry Middle School. 

This will be my 26th (whew! That seems like a lot!)  year in education. All but 4 of those years have been in Leander ISD. I have been at Henry for the past 4 years. Before that, I taught 6th-grade language arts for 8 years. I have also taught special education, 3rd- and 4th-grades. 

I graduated with my undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin, then earned my Masters in Educational Leadership & Policy from The University of Texas at Arlington. 

I have twin daughters who graduated from Texas Tech University.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, running, walking or biking on the trails around Austin, and Stand Up Paddle Boarding around Lady Bird Lake. 

One of my favorite things to do is meet and hear authors speak about their books. The Texas Book Festival is the best!!
