The purpose of Authentic Academic Teaming at Henry Middle School is to provide a system and a defined structure to intentionally:

1. Build a smaller community & social network (connection) for/among students (reduce isolation),

2. Utilize the LISD Guidance Curriculum to address the social and emotional LEARNING needs of our adolescent students,

3. Develop systems to provide encouragement for & between students, and

4. Reinforce desired academic & social behaviors.
