About Me

Welcome to kindergarten! My name is Abigail Braaten and I am overjoyed to be your child's kindergarten teacher! We are going to have an extremely fun and amazing year with lots of growth!

I graduated from UTRGV in 2022 and then moved here from South Texas. My degree is a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education) with a concentration in English as a Second Language. This will be my fourth year teaching kindergarten here at Reagan Elementary. I am thrilled to be in kindergarten because it is my favorite grade! Some of my hobbies include baking (chocolate is my favorite), drawing, swimming, hiking, and traveling.

As a teacher, I am committed to helping my students thrive in all areas and take delight in learning. My desire is for my students to know they are loved, valued, smart, creative, talented, brilliant, and capable of changing the world for the better!
