Addison was born in Palo Alto and raised in Santa Cruz. After high school, she moved to Southern California to attend the University of Redlands, where she majored in Race and Ethnic Studies and minored in Spanish. During her time at Redlands, she served as a Director of a college mentor program for high school youth and led workshops for creative identity expression at the San Bernardino Juvenile Hall. These roles cemented Addison’s commitment to advocacy for educational equity, specifically equal access to post-secondary opportunities.
Soon after her undergraduate career, Addison moved back to the Bay Area to complete a Master’s in Counseling at Saint Mary’s College, where she wrote a culminating thesis on the college opportunity gap. Addison’s favorite part of school counseling is empowering students and their families to see their strengths and accomplish their goals.
In her free time, Addison enjoys rock climbing and cooking/eating new foods!
