Jose Cuevas is from Spain. He majored in English Language & Literature and then he obtained a Master's Degree in Teaching Spanish as Second Language. Both at University of Salamanca (this year celebrating its 800th anniversary). Mr. Cuevas grew up in a very small town in the north of Spain. This year he will be teaching Spanish I & Pre-AP at LPS Oakland. His previous experience in the US goes from teaching Spanish in Northern Virginia (3 years) to teaching Spanish IB in Durham, NC (last 5 years). His diverse experience working with different populations led him to the Bay Area in addition to his will to know what they call "The Best Coast". During his free time he loves doing activities outdoors with his wife and two "nightmares", Dulce & Teo. He also enjoys comfort food and soccer, he can't deny he is a truly Spaniard.
