Caroline Raffanti is an East Bay native and the fifth generation in her family raised in Danville. Early on, her parents realized her need for physical activity, so gymnastics became her outlet. She spent thirteen years competing all over the country and eventually began coaching during high school. Through coaching gymnastics, Ms. Raffanti fell in love with the idea that all young people can learn, find success, and build confidence regardless of their learning styles or needs.
Ms. Raffanti attended Sonoma State and earned her undergraduate degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. She continued coaching and running summer camps while she continued at Sonoma’s credential program as an Education Specialist. After college, she landed her first teaching job at Oakland School for the Arts where she spent the next five years surrounded by incredibly talented students and teachers who thrive in their respective outlets.
When Ms. Raffanti isn't teaching, she is planning trips, spending time with family, or playing with her pup, Lola!
