We are committed to supporting the health and well-being of all our students while they are at school. To ensure your child’s safety, it is important that any medication your child needs during school hours is administered properly and in accordance with school policies.
If your child requires medication at school—whether prescription or over-the-counter—please follow these guidelines:
Authorization Form: Complete a medication authorization form. This form provides consent for school personnel to administer the medication and includes important instructions from your child’s healthcare provider.
Medication Labeling: All medication must be brought to school in its original, labeled container. Unlabeled or improperly labeled medication cannot be given.
Dosage and Instructions: Provide exact dosage instructions, the times medication should be given, and any special considerations.
Storage and Safety: Medications will be stored safely in the school health office, and only trained personnel will administer them.
Communication: Inform the school nurse of any changes in your child’s medication or health status.
Our goal is to ensure that your child receives the care they need safely and effectively while at school. Please contact the school principal with any questions.
Thank you for partnering with us to support your child’s health and learning.
