Animal Care 19-20Agriscience is an agriculture based course that has a hands-on environment. The courses will continue to challenge you as a student by identifying real-world problems and designing solutions that can be put into practice. STEM is a natural part of agriscience education as you will apply higher-level thinking from multiple subject areas in creating solutions to problems faced. These STEM concepts will be through creating your own business and applying for grants, genetics labs that identify your DNA makeup, designing ways to impact the algae bloom, and much more. FFA provides premier leadership by having countless opportunities to become involved. These include being an officer, partaking in leadership nights, FFA Week, attending conventions, and broadening your talents through tactile and soft skills to prepare you for your future. Being involved connects you to the largest career-technical organization that boasts over 700,000 members and countless alumni. This allows students to receive scholarships, connect to business leaders, and be connected to a larger community. This also allows you to compete in contests that enhance learning from inside the classroom in a fun competitive environment. It also allows you to meet others from the local area, but travel across the state, country, and even internationally.Â
