This new feature in Google Classroom allows students and teachers to check work to be sure it is cited properly and to avoid plagiarism. Students can run an originality report up to 3 times to identify uncited content and unintentional plagiarism before they submit their work. Student work is compared to all accessible pages in a Google search. Once the work is submitted, teachers have the ability to run the originality report as well and view any flagged content that may indicate plagiarism.
Using locked mode, you can help keep students stay focused while they take quizzes and tests on their Chromebooks. When students take a quiz (made in Google Forms) in locked mode, they won’t be able to browse other websites or open any other apps.
You can see a list of an individual student’s assignments, grades, and missing work all in one place. You can filter the list by status—turned in, returned with grade, or missing. You can also email it to the student and their guardian.

3. Limit the number of tabs students can open to minimize distractions.
4. Go old school--rearrange your classroom so you can see screens when they are in use.
