I am excited and honored to have the privilege of working for Lynchburg City Schools for the past 25 years as a school counselor. This is my 24th year with E.C. Glass in the School Counseling department. One of the best things about my job is helping students and parents navigate through the “high school experience”. I am a graduate of the University of Lynchburg with a B.A. in Sociology and a Masters in Agency & School Counseling.
I have had a long career working with children. I worked for 10 years at Centra as a preschool teacher when they offered daycare for their employees. I worked 5 years with the Child & Adolescent Psychiatric department at Centra. I also worked 4 years with teenagers as a Therapeutic Foster Care Therapist with Horizon Behavioral Health.
I have a beautiful, smart, and talented daughter (Chandler) who attends Virginia Tech in the Residential Design program. My husband and I have been married for 23 years and we plan to travel upon retirement. In my spare time during the summers, I write short stories for children that I hope to one day publish.

My husband (of 28 years) and I are the proud parents of three children ages 12-26, and our beloved (aka spoiled rotten) French Bulldog Baxter!
