Hello, I am Dr. Moncrief. Welcome to my page! I'm SUPER excited to be at the Arts FOCUS school and AJMS to make music. Remember, EXCELLENCE is not an act, but a HABIT! Through your dedication and practice, YOU are what makes the String Orchestra and Chorus at Andrew Jackson Middle School AWESOME!

Some interesting things about me. I served in the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps in Washington, DC and was the Ceremonial Bugler of Marine Barracks, Washington, DC and played "Taps" for funerals at Arlington National Cemetery and other military events in Washington. I love to travel and have been to all 50 U.S. states and 9 countries. As a conductor, I have performed in St. Petersburg, Russia and I have made a presentation at an international teacher conference in Bologna, Italy.

I encourage students to participate in Honors Strings and Honors Chorus that meet after school and have additional performance opportunities. We will be making a lot of great music this year!
