Hispanic Heritage Month
Mrs. Ansell, our Multi-Lingual Learner Program Specialist, wants to remind us that from September 15 to October 15, we honor the contributions of Hispanic people to our country and our world. Here are some ways she recommends celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with your family:
● Learn about the history and culture of Hispanic Americans. There are many great resources available online and in libraries.
● Visit a Hispanic museum or cultural center.
● Attend an Hispanic festival or event.
● Cook and share Hispanic food.
● Watch Hispanic movies or TV shows.
● Read books by Hispanic authors.
● Listen to Hispanic music.
● Learn a few Spanish phrases.
Most importantly, take the time to appreciate the Hispanic people in your life. Let them know how much you care and how grateful you are for their contributions.
