Schools will be closed Tuesday, November 7th for Election Day & for Thanksgiving holidays Wednesday, November 22nd-Friday, November 24th.
Basketball Tryouts
All students must have a current physical form completed before tryouts begin. Spectators are not allowed in the gym during tryouts.
Girls basketball tryouts will be October 30th-31st from 3:45-5:30 pm. Girls will meet in the gym afterschool.
Boys basketball tryouts will be October 30th-31st from 5:30-7pm. Boys will go home after school and return to school at 5:15pm.
The first game of the season will be Monday, November 27th @ Great Falls.

Extended Day Program
Promise Neighborhood's second cycle Extended Day Program resumes Monday, October 30th. Please contact Ms. Teschke or Mrs. Clyburn in our Guidance office with questions.
Report Cards
Report cards, SC Ready data reports, & MAP Family Reports will be sent home Wednesday, November 1st.
School Dance
Our first school dance will be Friday, November 10th from 4-6pm. Tickets cost $5 with a signed permission slip. Concessions will also be sold at the event.
Veteran's Day Program
Rucker's Choirs and bands will hold a Veterans Day concert/program on Friday, November 10th at 9am. All United States Veterans are welcome to attend the program along with Rucker's students/staff.
Say Cheese
Make-up school picture day will be Thursday, November 9th. Only students who missed our first picture day or who want a retake will participate. Families can use this link to order pictures.
Hoodies for Sale
Ram Tough hooded sweatshirts are available in the main office while supplies last. They cost $25 and can be purchased with cash, check made out to A. R. Rucker Middle School, or card.
Scan Receipts
Download the app to scan receipts with Box Tops to help Rucker meet our collection goal! If you'd rather not download the app, you can send your receipts to the library with your student so we can scan them for you.
Teachers Setting Winter MAP Goals with Students
Students and teachers have been analyzing student data to set goals for our Winter Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) tests coming up in January.
Results of the students' MAP tests will be attached to their report cards.
Students who meet their MAP goals will receive different incentives after Winter testing is complete.
