I am Ms. Shannon and welcome to my class. This website is where you can get a great overview of what the classes are all about. 

I teach 7th and 8th grade ELA (English Language Arts) and Social Studies. I am looking forward to you learning lots of things about reading, writing, and history.

I have been teaching for about 21 years and that includes middle and high school. I am originally from Long Island, New York and I have lived in Charlotte, NC since 2008. I am a United States Air Force Veteran and I loved serving my country. I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Coppin State University and my Bachelors Degree is in Workforce Education and Training from Southern Illinois University.

I love teaching middle school and I look forward to having you in my class, as well as, having a great relationship with you and your parents. I expect you to come to school to learn with a positive attitude. I am here to help you as much as possible contribute to society as a young leader.
