My name is Kiersten Cosper, and I am so excited for this school year! This will be my 3rd year working my dream job at my dream school: ILMS! As an English teacher, I look forward to helping students grow in their understanding of literature, reading stamina, critical thinking skills, and writing ability. Though I am bias towards ELA, my main goal is to enstill in each student an overall enjoyment of learning no matter what the subject.
My Background: I grew up in Chapin SC and graduated Chapin High School before relocating to the Rock Hill Area to attend college. Growing up, I played on my High School tennis team, as well as was a part of the choir and orchestra programs. I loved growing up in a small town, but I am thankful now to have a Target less than 45 minutes away!
My Education: I earned my B.A. in English as well as my Masters in Arts of Teaching both from Winthrop University. Go Eagles!
My Family: My husband Will and I recently celebrated our two year wedding anniversary this past May! He is the music teacher at River Trail elementary school in Fort Mill, and we enjoy the time we are able to spend together due to our similar schedules. We also have a cute little black cat who is currently trying to climb onto my laptop as I type this.
Things I enjoy: Pretty much anything an 82 year old woman would enjoy, I also enjoy! I love to knit, cook, go on walks, sing in my church choir, write snail mail, play board games, and of course, read lots and lots of books!
