Electronic Resources- Most of our resources are online and are accessible through students Google account and using their Google Apps waffle, or going to their "Favorites" on their search bar. We have a new reading curriculum this year, which is called HMH. Students can access this through their "Google Apps Waffle" on the top right of their screen, when in their Google Drive. Most resources can be accessed by "Log in with Google". Logging in this way will enable students to access their own account.

Scholastic: Our classroom Scholastic (linked) code is L9FNB. Next order due date is September15th. Orders can be made and paid for online and will be shipped directly to the school. Our class gets credit for every order placed, which earns us lots of free books each year! Please consider ordering books when you are in need, the prices are great and your child will benefit directly. Thank you!

Box Tops: are now collected digitally through a Box Tops app.

Homework

Having your child do some school work at home not only gives them a little extra practice; but more importantly, it allows you to monitor firsthand, how they are doing in school. For this reason, we suggest students do some extra practice nightly.

If your child ever struggles with something at home, please mark it with a question mark and write "Help" on it and we will help them with it the next day. Do not spend countless hours in a struggle, for their sanity and yours! 😉

ELA/SS: Reading 20 minutes each night, practice vocabulary and spelling words, IXL skills practice, or other skill sheets sent home in their blue folder

Math/Science: ALEKS/IXL, practice multiplication/division facts, other skill sheets sent home in their blue folder

**ALL students must complete any incomplete classwork at home and turn it in the next school day.

This is not considered homework, as it is work that should have been completed in class.

Supplies/Organization

Your students will have 5 subject notebooks for each subject that will remain at school. They will travel from class to class with their Chromebook, Charger, Headphones, and Pencil Pouch. The blue folder will come home nightly and will contain extra practice activities, study guides, graded papers, important papers for you, receipts, etc.

Tests

Tests will take place on a variety of platforms. They can be paper tests which will be graded and sent home in the blue folder. They can also be found in Mastery Connect, ReadWorks, and Google Classroom. Your student will be reminded how to access these so they can be reviewed with you. If you have any questions, please reach out. **Grades are updated in PowerSchool weekly.
