Nicole Ritter began her career in education in Ohio where she taught for nine years before leaving the snow and ice behind and moving to South Carolina, land of smiling faces and beautiful places. She came to ILHS after a year in Ware Shoals, SC and has been here ever since. After coaching varsity softball for eight years, Dr. Ritter started her doctoral research and completed her degree in Learning and Design in 2020, after investigating the flipped classroom instructional model in her psychology classes. Since then, Dr. Ritter has worked to integrate technology into her classroom and remain at the cutting edge of instructional design. In August, 2024 Dr. Ritter begins more graduate work in Educational Leadership after designing and leading professional development throughout her career.
