Welcome, Parents and Students!
I am truly excited and honored to be teaching 4th grade this year! Fourth grade is such a special year full of growth, new challenges, and memorable experiences, and I can’t wait to guide your children as they become confident problem solvers, thoughtful readers and writers, and well-rounded learners.
I grew up in Toledo, Ohio, where I was raised to proudly cheer for The Ohio State University. I attended the University of Toledo on a full scholarship and earned my degree in Early Childhood Education. My love for learning carried me to Orlando, Florida, where I taught 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades, as well as STEAM my first year here at Indian Land Elementary. During my time in Orlando, I also completed my Master’s in Elementary Education with a focus in Reading. While I’ve taught many subjects over the years, science holds a special place in my heart, and I hope to pursue another degree in it one day. This will be my sixth year teaching 4th grade, and I love this age group’s curiosity, energy, and ability to rise to new challenges.
In 2019, I moved to South Carolina to be closer to my family. My younger brother has four wonderful children, and my newest “baby” is Griffin, my playful 6-month-old fur baby who keeps me on my toes. While I don’t have children of my own, I promise to treat each of your children as if they were mine—supporting, encouraging, and celebrating them every step of the way.
I’m looking forward to an incredible year of learning, growth, and fun! Together, we will make your child’s fourth-grade year unforgettable. Please don’t hesitate to reach out anytime with questions, concerns, or even to share a proud moment—I love celebrating your children’s successes right alongside you.
Sincerely,
Christina Bauman
