Students at Indian Land High School are encouraged to read books on the South Carolina Young Adult Book Award List. Each year, twenty books are nominated by a committee through the South Carolina Association of School Librarians (SCASL). If a student reads THREE of the nominees before the the deadline in late February/early March, they will get to vote for the South Carolina Young Adult Book Award which is awarded at the yearly conference of the SCASL.
