This is my 16th year teaching at AJMS and my 25th year teaching overall. I am originally from Florence, SC, and earned my B.A. in Fine Arts from the College of Charleston. I have two Master of Fine Arts Degrees, one in Acting/Directing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and the other in Playwriting from Ohio University. I have worked as a professional actor and director since 1981 and have lived and worked in various places across the country including Knoxville, TN; Seattle, WA; and Atlanta, GA. Since moving to Lancaster, I have appeared numerous times at the Community Playhouse of Lancaster County - including lead roles in such plays as The Diary of Anne Frank, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Hairspray - as well as having directed Romeo & Juliet there. I also have performed locally with Rock Hill Community Theater, Fort Mill Community Playhouse, and Shakespeare Carolina.
