Hello all! My name is Grace Rivera and I will be the new Co-Teacher for 8th grade ELA. I am so excited to be here. I have been a teacher for the last 3 years back in the Bronx, New York.  I have my Masters in Special Education from CUNY Lehman College and though this is my 3rd year as a teacher it is my 12 year within the education system. Before I relocated down to South Carolina, I have been immersed in a diverse population of students and their needs and have enjoyed learning more of the how to's but mainly of the who they are. I truly believe every child is unique and it is my job to make sure they all get what they need to succeed. 

I love to paint and re-watch my favorite television shows. I spend all my free time developing my skill sets as a teacher or with my little girl. and this girl runs on COFFEE!!! I can't wait to see where the year takes us but I know that working here at Indian Land Middle School, your child will flourish because here, "Our Warriors Learn, Lead, and Achieve!"
