Hello! My name is Sam Plyler, I am a lifelong resident of Lancaster County. I work for Lancaster County Fire Rescue as a Training Captain. I graduated Lancaster High School in 1998 and married my High School Sweetheart Tina Plyler and we have 3 Beautiful Children Andrew, Devin, and Karsyn!! I started my journey as a Firefighter 30 years ago as a volunteer. 14 years ago I became a paid firefighter with Lancaster County Fire Rescue. After years working in the field responding to emergencies, I moved to the Training Division and became the Firefighting Instructor here at the Lancaster County School District Career Center. I am also the Chief of Shiloh Zion Fire Department which protects 22 square miles north of the city limits and known as 'The Fighting 17'. I enjoy teaching and passing on my knowledge to the students and watching them successfully complete their training and become Nationally Certified Firefighters!
