Program goals:

With a wide range of students from very different walks of life converging on the Culinary Arts facility, it is the objective to offer them all an equal opportunity to elevate their knowledge and skills with both the South Carolina, ProStart and industry culinary standards.  Students have the opportunity to earn the ProStart COA certification as well as the ServSafe Food Handler and Manager Certifications, spread through the Introduction, 1 & 2 culinary levels.  Students will be career or college ready, if that is their objective.  However, even if it isn’t, they will be better prepared for life, to take care of themselves and their family.  They will have skills that will enable them to live richer, healthier lives with less reliance on others.

About Me:  Having spent over 27 years in the hospitality industry in places such as The Ritz, London, The Prince Regent Hotel, London, The Radisson Berkshire Hotel, London, Bank of America, Corporate Food Services, Charlotte, NC & Charlotte City Club, Charlotte NC; I have amassed some amazing experiences and skills to pass on to the culinary students of Lancaster County.  Culinary Arts is not an easy subject, but can be incredibly rewarding.  When students are willing to learn and put in the hard work and commitment, the sky is the limit.
