Sheila Mobley
Parent Coordinator
BSE 21st Century Site Coordinator
BSE Parent Volunteer Coordinator
Brooklyn Springs Elementary School
My name is Sheila Mobley and I am the Brooklyn Springs Elementary Parent Coordinator. I am from Lancaster, SC. I am the mother of 3 and the grandmother to 5 wonderful, adventurous grandchildren, ranging from ages 12 to 4.
This is my 20th year at BSE and I I enjoy being Parent Coordinator. It is a wonderful way to get acquainted with parents, and I love finding new and inventive ways to increase parent involvement. I am excited about the upcoming 2024-2025 school year which will include a new parenting program called "With Love". This new program will involve an outreach for our BSE parents to let administrators and teachers be aware of any changes at home that may create a sudden change in your child's behaviour at school such as a death in the family/relative , seperation, divorce etc. There will be more information forthcoming by August.
I am also the 21st Century Site Coordinator of our 21st Century Extended Day Program for 3rd-5th grade students. It's a free program designed to provide extended learning and enrichment opportunities through reading and math. The program runs 4 days a week face-to-face and Fridays are virtual. 21st Century runs from September -April. The hours are 2:00pm-5:00pm. Only a select few are chosen and I'll have a in sign-up sheet during our Open House in August.
As Parent Volunteer Coordinator, I assist parents that are interested in becoming a parent volunteer. Please follow the steps in the link below and submit your Volunteer Application. I will be glad to help if you need any assistance or have any questions in completing the volunteer application. I will reach out to you as soon as your application is approved so that you can begin the process of becoming an active volunteer here at BSE.
