Hall of Fame

The Goal of the Buford High School Athletic Department Hall of Fame is to recognize the accomplishments of former Buford Yellow Jackets Coaches, Players, and Teams. In starting our Hall of Fame we wish to keep record of the history of our athletic standouts so that they will be remembered and recognized by generations to come.

Requirements for selection:

1. Any player nominated for the Hall of Fame must have been a BHS graduate and must have been a graduate for at least 5 years. Grounds for nomination can be high school performance, college sports performance, and/or community involvement.

2. Teams that one State Championships or teams that set records at BHS are open for induction.

3. Background will be checked after nominations (to insure all members are a positive reflection on BHS and the Athletic Dept.)

4. Induction for coaches does not only include BHS Coaches. BHS graduates that go on to coach elsewhere can be inducted to the Hall of Fame. Coaches on the Hall of Fame committee can be inducted to the hall of fame.
