The goal of the Student Council for the 2025-2026 school year is to represent the students of A.R. Rucker Middle School. Our mission will be to work to improve student life and provide valuable learning experiences. The Student Council will be a platform to provide students with a voice in determining school issues and solutions. We will work hard to get students involved in the school and community while fostering a positive, friendly environment across the school. Some of our goals will be environmental concerns, increasing academic excellence, and offering creative learning opportunities for our students.
Members
What are we looking for in Student Council members :
o Leadership skills – Ability to lead committees, be a representative, and role model for your class/club.
o Creativity – Collaborate with others and brainstorm new and exciting ideas and activities; hold fundraisers for your school.
o Communicate – Share ideas with other student council members, faculty, and classes.
o Team player – Work well with others in groups, and on committees; help organize events for the Student Council and for your school.
o Responsibility – Dependable and reliable for running activities..
o Commitment – Be present at meetings, show dedication to the Student Council, and complete the task as a leader or as a representative.
