The mission of the Alabama Association for Gifted Children is to provide advocacy, leadership, and support to assist educators, parents, and community partners in meeting the educational and affective needs of gifted children and youth in Alabama.
NAGC's mission is to support those who enhance the growth and development of gifted and talented children through education, advocacy, community building, and research. We aim to support parents and families; K-12 education professionals, including support service personnel; and members of the research and higher education community.

What is PACE?
PACE stands for Program for Academic and Creative Enrichment.
PACE classes are offered as a gifted service for students in grades 3-6 who have been identified as gifted learners.

All lessons and units in PACE are developed using the Alabama Gifted Education Programs: Standards and Student Outcomes.
If I think a child needs PACE, what do I need to do?
Parents and teachers can make a gifted referral at any time!

What is a student portfolio?
A student portfolio is a collection of work produced by a student.
The collection must be purposefully chosen, not randomly selected.
Each piece of work must have a description with the reason for including it in the portfolio.
Portfolios may differ in style/presentation.
*For the privacy of our PACE students, you cannot view student portfolios unless you have been granted special access.
