Mission Statement

At our Brooks High School library, we strive to inspire and empower students in grades 7-12 to become lifelong learners and creators. Our mission is to:

•  Encourage Reading: We believe that reading opens doors to new worlds and ideas. We provide a diverse collection of books and resources that cater to all interests and reading levels, fostering a love for literature and knowledge.

• Support Writing: Writing is a powerful tool for self-expression and communication. Our library offers workshops, resources, and guidance to help students enhance their writing skills, whether for school assignments, personal projects, or creative endeavors.

• Promote Creating: Through our innovative maker space, we provide students with the tools and materials to bring their ideas to life. From crafting and coding to robotics and design, we encourage hands-on learning and collaboration, allowing students to explore their creativity and develop critical thinking skills.

We wish to create a welcoming environment where students can discover, learn, and grow as readers, writers, and creators. Our library is not just a place for books; it's a school hub that inspires curiosity and innovation.

Circulation Information

• Library Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:50 AM - 3:15 PM

• Virtual checkouts on our Sora app are available at ALL TIMES

• Students can keep checked-out items for two weeks. If they need more time, they can renew the items as outlined below.

• Students can renew an item two times before they must return it. Renewals can be done in person, through the library's online system, or through an email to Mrs. Wallace.
