Mrs. Kergel has been teaching since 2004, when she earned her BS in Elementary and Special Education from Roberts Wesleyan College. She went on to get her Masters in Special Education at SUNY Albany, with an emphasis in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. Since 2004 she has taught in a variety of settings and grades, all the way from 2 year olds to 8th graders. She even spent awhile teaching at a government school in Belize, Central America, where she taught a 3/4th combined class, and then created a reading program for the K-6th graders, in order to help them succeed in furthering their education.
In the year 2020, God led Mrs. Kergel to Loudonville Christian School, where she has enjoyed working in the Lower School. She has a passion for helping her students see that learning is a way of worshipping and getting to know their Creator. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Kergel is highly involved at Camp Pattersonville (a Christian children's camp in Pattersonville, NY), running, and being outdoors.
