• John Knox found Protestant Church of Scotland in 1560
• In 1562 Wars between Catholics and Protestants in France
• Nailed a list of complaints on to the church door in Wittenberg
• The Reformation would have failed without the printing press
• 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation
• Martin Luther translated the whole bible from Greek to German
• The Catholic Church had a Counter Reformation, which was initiated by the Council of Trent between 1545 and 1563
• The bible was translated from Latin into many other languages so a lot more people would understand it
• There was 30 years of wars that cost so many lives about 40% of Germans population for example
• The Reformation only succeeded in the countries that were never controlled by the Roman Empire
