Mission Statement

The principle goals of the Woodgrove High School Student Council Association are to: foster student leadership while providing a structure of principles of good citizenship to be practiced; promote the general welfare of the school community and student body; join together the student body and the administrative team to serve as one voice; and encourage student participation within the school, and service within both the local and global communities.

Advisors

Jeff Schutte:

Mr. Schutte is thrilled to return to Woodgrove High School for the 2018-2019 year. He helped open WHS in 2010, and for the five years prior to that, Mr. Schutte taught at Potomac Falls HS in Sterling. He moved to Northern Virginia with 11 years of teaching experience at Archbishop McNicholas HS in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This year, along with Mr. Acquino, he will also be co-sponsoring the Woodgrove HS Student Council. Mr. Schutte also serves as the Activities Coordinator for Woodgrove HS.Go, Wolverines!

Tom Acquino:

Mr. Acquino was the co-sponsor for the Sophomore Class Council for four years. Last year, he was a co-sponsor of the Junior Class Council. He has also worked as a Team Leader for one of the 9th grade teams two years ago during its inception. Mr. Acquino earned his B.S.Ed. with a concentration in Mathematics from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and is currently enrolled in the M.Ed. program for Educational Leadership at James Madison University.
