In this mixed study the authors discuss the benefits of integrating physical education into art class. As mentioned above this upcoming school year will be dramatically different with the school scheduling. Integrating physical education into other subjects may be beneficial so that students are still able to participate in these non-core classes without taking up too much of that allotted face to face time. What this article found was that this integrated lesson helped to create body awareness, identify principles of art that correlated to balance and rhythm, teach proper form of different motor movements, increase kinesthetic body awareness and learn anatomical definitions. These same integration tools could also be done in an online setting to ensure that there is enough time for students to still get both art and physical education and give students that necessary brain break from their core classes.
